This one special category is dedicated to the few single artists whose artistic achievements stand particularly apart from all the rest. They have made great discoveries in their chosen directions of art, which has moved the whole Russian Art forward by leaps. They wrote theoretical treatises basing their findings, and around them formed new schools of artistic thought and expression, entire independent Movements were based on their discoveries and guidance.
Into this group fall P.Filonov, W.Kandisky, K.Malevich and a handful of others.
