The artist has studied at the  SVOMAS (the State Free Art Workshop) in Moscow (1918-1919).

In 1919-1920 he was a member of the Collegue of Art near NarComPros RSFSR (People Commissariat of Education of Rissian Federation).

In 1919 he worked in Vitebsk,  was influenced by the suprematism of Kazimir Malevich.

The artist was a member of  UNOVIS from 1919.

He has married Katarzhina Kobro, the artist, who studied at SVOMAS.

The artist has taught at SVOMAS in Smolensk, was a member of the Smolensk branch of UNOVIS.

In 1922 he has moved to Poland. He has organized the exhibition of new art in Vilno, which has marked a birth of Polish constructivism.

Strzheminsky has created his wn version of abstract painting “UNISM”, going from Malevich’s suprematism and Tatlin’s attention to material. He worked towards unism – the organic unity of painting form and the material. His theoretical program Strzheminsky related in the book “Unism in painting” (1928).

Together with K.Kobro and other Polish artists in 1930 he has  organized the “A.R.” group (Artists Revolutionaries). The members of this group have established one of first collection of abstract art in the world, presenteded in a constant exposition at the Museum of Art in Lodz.

Strzheminsky has put together the album “Kazimir Malevich” (1935-1936).

In 1945 Strzheminsky has organized the Art School in Lodz and taught  theatre until 1950.
