 Biography   

Bruni has studied at the Art School of M.Tenisheva (1904-1909), Petersburg, at the Academy of Arts under F.Rubo, N.Samokish and Ya.Zionglinsky, and at the Academy of R.Julian, Paris (1912) under J.-P.Lorence.

He has lived in Petersburg, and from 1923 in Moscow.

From 1906 the artist has participated in exhibitions including the World of Art, Makovetz, 4 Arts, International Exhibition of Decorative and Fine Arts (Paris), and others.

In 1915-1916 Bruni has become close with the Avant-garde artists V.Tatlin, N.Tyrsa, P.Miturich, the poets V.Khlebnikov and O.Mandelshtam, the composer A.Lurie and others.

He has taught at the TzUTR (Central College of Technical Drawing), Petrograd (1920-19210), from 1923 at the VKhUTEMAS/VKhUTEIN (High State Artistic and Technical Workshops/Institute), Moscow, and from 1930 at the Moscow Textile Institute.
