Grishchenko’s
work has won high tributes from his contemporaries, his creation was
highly esthetic, harmonic in texture, color and composition. His
individual interpretation of cubism, geometry of outlines and choice and
combination of color were associated with Kubist work as well as old
Russian frescoes and Ikons, that the Artist has studied intently.
Unfortunately, a lot of his work of the period from 1910s to early 1920s
have perished, and today Grischenko's paintings are very rarely found even
in museum collections. |
