 Biography:

Konchalovsky has studied at the studio of Raevska-Ivanova in Kharkov, the Stroganov Art and Technical Institute in Moscow (from 1889), the Académie Julian, Paris (1896-1897) under Laurence and Benjamin-Konstant, and the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1898-1907) under Tvorozhnikov, Savinsky and Kovalevsky.

He has moved his residence to Moscow.

From 1908 the artist has become a member of assorted groups and participated in exhibitions, including the World of Art, the Golden FleeceUnion of Youth, Jack of Diamonds, Being, AKhRR and exhibitions in Paris.

He has taken part in expeditions organized by the The Golden Fleece journal.

Konchalovsky was the founder and president of the Jack of Diamonds group from 1910.

The artist has designed sets for operas by Zimin (1812-1914).

He has taught at SVOMAS (Free Workshop) in 1918-1921, and the VKhUTEMAS/VKhUTEIN (High State Art and Technical Workshops / High State Art Technical Institute) in 1926-1929.

He has helld one-man shows in Moscow (1922, 1927-1930) and Paris (1925).
