Hello to all Russian Avant-garde Gallery visitors and subscribers.
This month has brought me many technical difficulties. My laptop had to be sent to the laboratory to repairs, twice, no less!, after it decided to go unexpectedly on strike. So my son's PC got expropriated for the purposes of work, and we have been sharing it with my son for almost the whole month. He has been wonderfully stoic about the whole thing, taking into consideration that it is the summer holidays, and so thanks to my boy I have managed to make this month's contribution.
New Movement and New Artist Added
In July I have opened another new movement: AKhR/AKhRR. In this movement I have published a new artist - Konstantin Yuon:
A truly superb and unique landscape painter, and a real joy for any art lover. Even though his art is not among the colorful new art movements usually associated with the Russian Avant-garde - still, Yuon is a typical Russian Impressionist, whose paintings, though realistic in nature remain incomparable with any other. I have enjoyed this month's work immensely, and hope you do, as well, perusing the results.
Moving of the Website to a New Hosting
In mid-August my contract with the existing hosting service will end, and I have a while ago decided that I shall not be renewing it. This website has overgrown the possibilities of the existing hosting service and needs to be move to a more appropriate platform, which can handle the planned changes and additions I am thinking of for your benefit.
I shall endeavor to make the move as painlessly as possible, but cannot rule out that some disturbances and interruptions may occur in mid-month. Please, treat them with patience.
On the other side, if you discover any severed links or other malfunctions - please communicate this to me, so I can fix all the bugs quickly and continue to provide you with the best possible service.
Join the Forum!
So far the Forum has not been able to rise off the ground. I realize it is way more fun to join an already successfully operating Forum than one in a beginning stage, but then again, without you there it cannot ever reach a successfully operating stage, can it?
I invite everyone to share their love of Russian Avant-garde with the other visitors and the world by posting their opinions, revelations, discoveries and questions on the forum in its various sections.

Come join and post at the forum to get in touch with others who share your interests.
