Hello to all Russian Avant-garde Gallery visitors and subscribers.

A New Artist Added at An Existing Category

This month I have added a the new artist from last month, Alexei Pakhomov, to the other category: Mass and Agit Art.

This artist takes a place of honor among the graphic artists and book illustrators of the time. Most children in Russia, myself included, grew up leafing through his books and looking at his pictures, though most do not realize it. Making these pages was a pleasure of rare nostalgia.

Cataloguing of Books

This month I have not done a lot of new additions, because I was busy cataloguing children's illustrated books. This was done following the need to build the page for Alexei Pakhomov, and the material which I had in the books on the shelves. I have catalogued over 600 illustrated books of the larger format. I still have about the same number (so it seems, though it may be more) of illustrated children books of the smaller format, all this before taking into account the books on art.

Reminder: Refresh Your Pages

As always, I would like to remind everybody to occasionally refresh the pages, due to the constant changes and additions on the website. This will ensure that you always see the latest version of the pages, and not the page cached (stored) on your computer from the last visit.

If you do not know how to do this - you can see instructions in the first issue of the newsletter. Or see your web browser help section.
