Page Centering Issues in Firefox
For the Mozilla Firefox users who have encountered the issue of picture-pages not quite centered, - I am aware of the issue and, as I said in the previous Newsletter, it had to do with difference in code between the Microsoft Internet Explorer and the Mozilla Firefox browsers, and was solved.
It will take some time before all the pages are migrated into the new template made, but you will slowly see the difference.
Users of other Web browsers who do not know what I am talking about - don't worry, it only concerns the Firefox users.
Tatiana Kofyan's Illustrations of the Book "A Guide to Mammals in Israel" Added
As promised, I have began working on my mother's pages. The first page done, for which I have had some material ready, is illustrations for the book "A Guide to Mammals in Israel", by Benny Shalmon. You may see it here or go from the About the Site Creator page, Illustrations section.
There are 107 illustrations in all on this page, including the cover and all the illustrations in the book, scanned from the originals watercolors.
In addition, I decided to write and publish a story about each of my mother's book I complete at the bottom of the relevant page. This will allow you a glimpse into Tatiana's life, her interests and unique personality so that the visitors to her website will feel like they are getting to know her a bit. My memory of it may not be perfect, and is somewhat personal - still, I would like you to know the person Tatiana Kofyan a little, not just the artist.
Others write blogs with their take on Life, the Universe and Everything - these are popular today. I shall write stories of my mother and her work.
Bibliography Cataloguing & Tatiana's Notes
I have begun to make a detailed catalogue of my mother's library, which is proving to be just as complicated as I anticipated. That's good, meaning that I can't really be disappointed, can I? Besides, I seem to like challenges, strangely enough. On second thought, taking the project of this site into account - it probably, runs in the family.
At the same I have begun to sift through the existing notes my mother left. I need to make order in them, so that I may begin adding new artists as soon as the cataloguing process above is done.
Funny enough, I am learning to decipher my mother's handwriting, as well as her thinking process. Who could have thought?
