Biography:

In mid 1900s Yakerson has studied with Yu.Pan in Vitebsk and at the same time in the Commerce School, then at the Construction Faculty of the Politechnic Institute in Riga, which was evacuated to Moscow during the World War I.

In 1918-1922 Yakerson has studied in VKHUTEMAS.

In 1918 the artist has joined the Moscow union of artists and sculptors. That same year he has participated, under M.Chagall's direction, in decorating Vitebsk for celebration of the first anniversary of the October Revolution.

In 1919 he has created monument models for Karl Marx in Polotzk and Nevel. He was then invited by Chagall to lead the scupture worshop in the Vitebsk People's Art School.

In 1920-1921 he has made monuments for Karl Marx in Vitebsk and for Yakov Sverdlov in Stavropol.

Participated in exhibitions since 1918.
